Health and Wellbeing Clinic – Service Update

Please note that our Health and Wellbeing Clinic will be coming to an end on Monday 10 August.

We would like to thank everyone who has attended and supported the clinic. It has been a pleasure helping our patients improve their health and wellbeing.

If you require support after this date, please contact your GP practice, who will be happy to advise you on the most appropriate services available.

Who can access the Health and Wellbeing Clinic?

All eligible patients within the network will receive invitations via text message or phone call. If you would like an invitation please use the contact form to find out when an appointment may be available.

How to book an appointment

You will receive your invitation via text, from NHSNoReply (please note, the messages may not come in order, depending on your mobile signal), the message will include a link to book a convenient date and time, this is valid for 7 days. Clinics are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. If you need assistance scheduling your appointment or require language translation services during your visit, please contact us.

Your appointment

If you're eligible, you'll receive an invitation to visit us at The Old Cereal Factory, Poundbury, Dorchester DT1 3WE. 

During your 40-minute appointment, we'll conduct various tests to check your health, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and measurements for BMI (body mass index). We'll also have a chat about how you're feeling mentally and socially.

After your appointment, we'll send your test results to your GP for review. They'll get in touch if there's anything they're concerned about. Alternatively, you can access your blood test results through the NHS App. Our discussions about mental and social health will help us connect you with any support services you might need and if necessary, we'll refer you to the right services.

Cancelling or re-arranging your appointment

We understand that plans can change, and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, in the past three months, over 10 hours of appointment time were lost due to patients not attending.

Finding Us

We are located next to Peppina Sicilian Bakery, in the Advanced Healthcare building. From the road look out for the signs for Advanced Healthcare, go in through the gates and there is a carpark available to use.
